FINE HOMES IN CHURCHILL MEADOWS

Welcome to the Neighbourhood of Churchill Meadows.  It also goes by the name of Churchill Meadows in Erin Mills.  Wonderful family neighbourhood that offers everything for the young and young at heart.

There is a skateboarding park facility -- Iceland Skateboard Park -- located adjacent to Iceland Arena on Matehson Blvd.  With the large number of young people living in this neighbourhood, more "satellite" skateboard parks have been planned.  There is another one in the community park on Thomas Street.  Check it out when it's a little warmer.

This area has been blessed with more biking and walking trails than anywhere else in Mississauga.  The Lisgar Trail runs from north of Derry Road through a beautiful naturalized greenbelt along Sixteen Mile Creek to Britannia Road.  It ends at Osprey Marsh, and area that was originally a concrete storm water pond that has been regrofitted to a natural marshland.  The Lisgar Residents Association holds an annual tree planting along the trail each year at the end of May and have planted thousands of wildflowers, shrubs, and trees.

The Meadowvale Theatre is located on Battleford at Montevideo Road and provides an extensive array of entertainment for it's residents.

The Peel Board of Education has received funding to make repairs to schools to bring them up to the 21st Century standards.  Most of the work is now complete.  Five new schools have opened up in west Mississauga.

HOV lanes on Highway 403 and better transportation support have reduced commuting time.  The HOV lanes are easing traffic gridlock in Mississauga.  Ontario has invested in Mississauga Transit.  More parking spots have been added to the GO station at Streetsville.  The new station at Lisgar is up and running.
